Apparently, the chocolate that the Western world’s been cultivating for hundreds of years isn’t the best of what’s out there. Scientists have been doing some research, and the cocoa cultivators in Peru have already begun cultivating various types of cocoa crops. It’ll take five years for these different cocoa plants to bear fruit–and let me just say, I’m now definitely looking forward to the day I turn 30. NPR’s food blog has the full story in their hunt for chocolate post.
